WARP 2026: Snowsports

Sun Valley, ID

Applications are now open for the first Wildland Firefighter Advanced Resilience Program (WARP) event. This program is designed to provide a space for community, resilience-building, and personal growth.

We invite wildland firefighters to join us from January 25th to 30th, 2026, in Sun Valley, Idaho.

Program Overview

WARP is an immersive week focused on developing skills for mental and physical durability. The event combines structured resilience training with outdoor activities to foster connection and recovery.

We have secured funding to support up to 16 selected wildland firefighters for this inaugural event. All costs associated with program entry, travel, lodging, and food will be covered for those chosen to participate.

The lead facilitator will be Virginia Avery, a former Hotshot and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), who brings direct experience and professional expertise to the program.

A Collaborative Effort

This event is made possible through a partnership between Hotshot Wellness, Higher Ground, the U.S. Hotshots Association, and Mystery Ranch. We extend our gratitude to Higher Ground and the U.S. Hotshots Association for their significant contributions, which allow us to offer this opportunity at no cost to the participants.
